This week, First Lady Britainy Beshear announced the launch of the Kentucky Domestic Violence Data Dashboard, a new interactive tool that makes it easier than ever for the public to explore domestic violence statistics — statewide or right here at home. Users can compare data by county and Area Development District and find specific information on offenders, domestic violence shelters and support services, and law enforcement outcomes.

For a survivor of domestic violence, the distance between home and help can feel impossible to close. In a service region that spans nearly 4,000 square miles and ten counties — with only three brick-and-mortar offices — that distance has been one of the biggest barriers standing between survivors and the support they deserve. This week, we started closing that gap.

This week, BRASS, Inc. was honored to be in the room as United Way of Southern Kentucky announced its annual community impact investments — more than $1.1 million heading to nonprofit programs across south-central Kentucky.

On April 30, 2026, Governor Andy Beshear announced $16 million in federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant funding awarded to 88 agencies and organizations across Kentucky. BRASS, Inc. is proud to be among this year's recipients, receiving $333,587 to continue providing life-saving services to survivors of domestic violence in our ten-county service region.

BRASS, Inc. is grateful to share some wonderful news — and even more grateful to WNKY News 40 for helping us spread it. We recently received a donation of 5,000 pairs of socks from Bombas, the American sock manufacturer known for its mission-driven giving. It may sound simple, but socks are one of the most requested and most needed items for survivors and their families as they take their first steps toward safety and healing.

BRASS, Inc. is proud to announce that we have been awarded a $68,000 Growth Grant through the Women's Fund of the Community Foundation of South Central Kentucky — funding that will bring us one significant step closer to reaching survivors where they are. The grant was awarded at the Annual Women's Fund Dinner on October 21 at the Knicely Conference Center in Bowling Green.

This October, in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, BRASS, Inc. was featured on Kentucky Edition, a public affairs program produced by KET and aired on PBS. The segment, titled "Shelter and Support for Domestic Violence Survivors," offers viewers a look inside the work we do every day for survivors across our ten-county region.
