This summer, BRASS, Inc.’s new Mobile Advocacy Unit has been bringing safety, support, and hope closer to home for survivors across south-central Kentucky. Community by community, local chambers of commerce have welcomed the unit with ribbon-cutting celebrations, with recent stops in Allen, Hart, Butler, Monroe, and Logan counties.

For a survivor of domestic violence, the distance between home and help can feel impossible to close. In a service region that spans nearly 4,000 square miles and ten counties — with only three brick-and-mortar offices — that distance has been one of the biggest barriers standing between survivors and the support they deserve. This week, we started closing that gap.

We are excited to share that the launch of BRASS, Inc.'s Domestic Violence Mobile Advocacy Response Unit drew significant regional media attention this week, with coverage from WBKO, Spectrum News 1, and WNKY News 40 highlighting the impact this new program will have for survivors across south-central Kentucky.

BRASS, Inc. is proud to announce that we have been awarded a $68,000 Growth Grant through the Women's Fund of the Community Foundation of South Central Kentucky — funding that will bring us one significant step closer to reaching survivors where they are. The grant was awarded at the Annual Women's Fund Dinner on October 21 at the Knicely Conference Center in Bowling Green.
