Every August, children leave our emergency shelter and walk into a new classroom. For many, it's a school they've never attended before, in a neighborhood that's still unfamiliar. What they carry with them matters — not just for learning, but for feeling like they belong.

Back-to-school supplies are one of the most consistent needs we hear from families in shelter as the summer winds down. A backpack, a set of pencils, a fresh notebook: these are small things that carry real weight for a child who has already been through so much.

We have created an Amazon Wish List to make it easy to help. Purchasing even one item means a child in our community walks into their first day of school ready — and knowing that someone cared enough to make that possible.
